Common Questions

Before you book.

When is your hunting season?

Waterfowl (duck & goose) hunts run consistently from November through mid-February. Spring turkey runs through April/May. Deer dates depend on Kansas season frameworks for Units 11 & 14. Call us for current dates.

How many hunters can you accommodate?

Duck hunts: 4–14 hunters. Goose hunts: 4–8. Deer hunts: 6–8. Turkey hunts: 1–6. Larger waterfowl groups can be split across our two lodges (South Lodge sleeps 12; Main Lodge sleeps 18).

What's the deposit and cancellation policy?

Contact us for specific deposit, cancellation, and rescheduling details — policies vary by trip type and timing.

Do I need a Kansas hunting license?

Yes — every hunter needs a current Kansas hunting license. Waterfowl hunters additionally need a Kansas Waterfowl stamp, Kansas HIP stamp, and Federal Waterfowl stamp. Deer hunters need to apply for Units 11 or 14 permits in advance. Turkey hunters should apply for Unit 6.

Are non-lead shells required?

Yes — federal regulations prohibit lead shot for waterfowl. Bring steel, bismuth, or another approved non-toxic load. We're happy to recommend specific shells for the week you're hunting.

Are meals included?

Deer and turkey hunts include all meals. Waterfowl hunts include lodging only — meals can be coordinated with us when you book.

Are gratuities expected?

Gratuities are appreciated but never required. Range is at your discretion — our guides work hard either way.

Can non-hunters come along?

Yes — contact us to arrange lodging and meals for non-hunters in your group.

Do you allow dogs?

Contact us — we'll talk through your specific situation case by case.
